Remembrance in Epsom & Ewell
Wednesday 8 November: Bourne Hall Garden of Remembrance, Ewell
At 11am on Wednesday 8 November the Mayor of Epsom & Ewell and local schoolchildren will open the annual Garden of Remembrance at Bourne Hall Park. Schools will perform songs and poems and place poppy tokens to honour and remember all those who have died in the service of their country. The Garden of Remembrance will be open to visitors until 30 November.
Saturday 11 November: Ceremony at Market Place, Epsom
Members of the public are invited to join the Mayor and the Royal British Legion, Armed Forces and Veterans for a short ceremony at the Clock Tower in the Market Place, Epsom. This will be followed by a two-minute silence at 11am.
Sunday 12 November: Procession from Army Reserve Centre to St Mary's Church, Ewell
At 9.30am the Mayor will lay two wreaths at the War Memorial in Ashley Road, Epsom. At 10:30am the Remembrance Day procession will take place beginning at the Army Reserve Centre at Welbeck Close and ending at St Mary’s Church in Ewell. This will be followed by an Act of Remembrance service, wreath laying and a church service. At 10:45am the Deputy Mayor will attend a Remembrance Day service at St Martin of Tours Church, Epsom.
