EEBC committee recommends public consultation on proposed Local Plan modifications

Our Licensing and Planning Policy Committee (LPPC) recently recommended proceeding with a statutory six-week public consultation on the Government-appointed Planning Inspector's proposed main modifications to the council's submitted Local Plan 2022-2040. Before the consultation can take place, approval must be granted by full Council. It is anticipated that a meeting of the full Council will take place next month.

New bursary scheme launched to help Ukrainian families in Epsom and Ewell build skills and access employment opportunities

Epsom & Ewell Borough Council has launched a new bursary scheme to help Ukrainian families living in the borough gain new skills, access training opportunities and improve their employment prospects.

Bookings open for free Young Legends programme for local children aged 9 to 11

We are pleased to announce the return of its Epsom & Ewell Young Legends sports and creative activities programme for 9 to 11-year-olds living in the borough.

Free Epsom & Ewell community football available for local children aged 10 to 16

Free community football sessions are available for young people aged 10 to 16 who live in the borough. This programme is delivered by YOUfF (Young Ones United Football Foundation) and will run until 31 March 2027.

Access to Activity Bursary for 12 to 15-year olds open for applications until December 2026

Funding remains available for eligible 12 to 15-year-olds to apply for our Access to Activity Bursary where children who meet the relevant criteria can receive up to £200 to help with sports club memberships, subscriptions or match fees. The Bursary will open until 31 December or until all funding has been allocated.

Fridge and freezer collections are temporarily suspended

We will temporarily be suspending fridge and freezer collections from homes as part of our bulky waste collection service due to a national issue with treatment facilities.
