Armed Forces Day - Fly the Flag
The Armed Forces flag was raised on Monday 20 June in support of our servicemen and women, past and present. It recognises the vital work they carry out to ensure our security at home and abroad. A procession of robed councillors and dignitaries led by the Mace Bearer and the Mayor, Councillor Clive Woodbridge, and made their the way to the flagpole in the Market Place where a short service was followed by the raising of the flag. The flag will remain flying in the Market Place for the rest of the week leading up to National Armed Forces Day on Saturday 25 June 2022.
