They think it's all over...
COVID-19 hasn’t gone away. Doctors, nurses and other key workers are still putting themselves on the line every day and our most vulnerable residents are still at risk – so please continue to do everything you can to prevent the spread of coronavirus and the 'second wave'.
The most important things you can do to help reduce the spread of coronavirus are to:
- Keep washing your hands as often as possible, for 20 seconds with warm water and soap
- Keep your distance from others, particularly in indoor spaces
- Wear a face covering in the places you are required to and when it is difficult to stay socially distanced
- Self-isolate and book a test immediately if you get symptoms
As businesses and other operations reopen, safeguards are being introduced for your safety. So while taking precautions, support your local economy and local jobs by using these as they open, follow their guidelines and let's try and be nice to each other and patient as things take a bit longer.
As we move out of lockdown and we all start venturing out a more, it is absolutely vital that we continue to play our part in protecting our community. Everyone has made sacrifices to help bring the infection rate down, let's not reverse that trend.
