Surrey County Council: Epsom and Ewell Local Committee – working for you

As part of open and accessible local government, Epsom & Ewell Local Committee is encouraging residents and businesses to contribute to the local decision making process.

Consisting of five County Councillors and five Borough Councillors, the Local Committee meets four times a year to discuss and make decisions on issues important to local people. These include activities and support for young people, community safety, library opening hours, highway improvements, road safety, speed limits and parking restrictions as well as other local concerns.

Councillors put residents’ interests at the heart of the decisions they make. The opinions of local people matter when decisions are being taken, and their views are welcome. Held in public, residents and businesses can attend meetings in person to listen to the debate, ask a question or present a petition. Questions can either be asked on the night, or in writing to nicola.morris@surreycc.gov.uk by 12noon the Tuesday before the meeting. Petitions, which require a minimum of 30 signatures, need to be submitted 14 days before the meeting.
