The Surrey Youth Games Young Ambassador Scheme is coming soon!
504 young people from Epsom and Ewell registered to take part in the free training sessions at this year's Specsavers Surrey Youth Games.
The popularity of the Games has increased year on year as more students have been made aware of this fantastic competition. A large reason for this increase in popularity is due to the success of the borough’s Young Ambassador Scheme. The Young Ambassadors are challenged to promote the Surrey Youth Games within their schools and encourage fellow students to register to take part in the Games training sessions. They can do this in a number of ways that include;
• Talking about the Games to friends and fellow students
• Leading School Assemblies
• Designing posters to be put up around school
This year we will be taking applications from students wishing to become Young Ambassadors in years 5-11. Students will be able to apply from early December and a maximum of four students will be selected from each school. Ebbisham Sports Club activities
Squash & Racketball - four week beginners and improver courses
Sundays 10, 17, 24 November and 1 December; Squash Course 4pm - 5pm , Racketball course 5.15pm - 6.15pm
Courses for beginners & improver adults & family members (including teenagers 13+ years) to learn squash and/or racketball basics, shots, scoring, tactics, singles and doubles games with qualified friendly coaches. All equipment provided. Non-marking indoor trainers essential but can be borrowed and returned if required.
Non-members £6 a sessions or £20 for 4 weeks in advance, Members £5 per session or £15 for 4 weeks in advance.

Try-Sport Junior Xmas Camps
Mondays 16, 23, 30 December & 6 January 2020; 9am - 3.30pm
Fun and sociable, try-sport junior Christmas camps for juniors ages 7-14 years, suitable for beginners and improvers, members and non-members. Learn and play 7 different rackets sports in one day - badminton, squash, racketball, tennis, touchtennis, table tennis and pickleball (from America!) - with friendly and professional Coaches.
Non-Members: £28 per day or £25 per day for 2-4 days, Members: £23 per day or £20 per day for 2-4 days. (booked and paid for in advance)

Epsom Allsorts Running Club - New beginners group starts Sunday 5 January 2020
Ideal for those new or returning runners, the sessions alternate between jogging and walking. Over several weeks you will build your running to the point where you can complete a continuous run. Each session will begin with a gentle warm up and end with a cool down and stretch. The 12 week course is open to all women over age 16 and is ideal for anyone wanting to start running in an enthusiastic, fun and friendly environment. We aim to keep groups reasonably small in order to make sure everyone benefits from the support they need and as a result we do have to limit spaces.
