Charity Car Boot Sale supported by AutoTest, Ewell in aid of Epsom Medical Equipment Fund
Sundays 13 and 27 October; Sellers 7.30am - 12.30pm. Buyers 9am

All entrance donation and vehicle fees will go towards the purchase of medical equipment for Epsom General Hospital which will benefit the local community. All profits from individual sales are for sellers to keep. No booking necessary. Hard standing so not cancelled due to rain. Mayor of Epsom & Ewell charity event - Mayoress’s Fashion Show
Tuesday 8 October; 7.15pm

Music from Stage & Screen

St Michael's The Sanctuary, 4A Church Street, Ewell Village KT17 2AS
Come and hear the Waldegrave Ensemble wind quintet perform music from movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter and The Incredibles to stage shows like Fiddler on the Roof and Porgy & Bess and classic MGM films such as the Wizard of OZ and Singing in the rain. This family concert is suitable for all ages. Teas, coffees and freshly baked cakes will be served in the interval. Cost: £12 adults, £10 concessions, £5 child/student. The Abdication 1936 - A Lovers' Tale or Coup d'etat?

This friendly talk will explore and examine the constitutional crisis that arose over the issue of the King's intended marriage to Mrs Wallis Simpson. While this was a unique event in itself, it also casts light on the social attitudes of the day, as well as giving us an insight into the workings of the political establishment of the 1930s. Edward VIII's readiness to forsake the throne in order to marry an American divorcee has become a focal point for debate, rumour, half-truth and gossip ever since, and carries issues and implications that resonate today. London Bus Museum - Transportfest
