Under the Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places (Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2006, all local authorities are required to carry out a review of polling districts and polling places on a regular four-yearly cycle.
The purpose of these reviews is to seek to ensure that:
- All electors have reasonable access to voting facilities
- Polling places are accessible to all electors including those with disabilities
Views are invited from electors within the district as well as from persons or bodies with expertise in relation to access to premises or facilities for persons with any form of disability.

Annual Canvass enters second phase
Every year Epsom & Ewell Borough Council is required to undertake a canvass, to ensure our records are kept up to date.
The annual canvass for the 2020 Register of Electors started in August and will finish in November with the new register published on 1 December.
Every residential property in the borough has been sent a Household Enquiry Form, so we can confirm that the register is correct, to collect names of new people or to remove anyone no longer at the property.
It is a legal requirement to respond to this form.
We are statutorily required to send a reminder and/or someone to visit the properties where we have not had a response and this process is now underway.
