Hurrah, summer is here!

As the delicate scents of burnt sausages and lighter fuel waft on the breeze, we take a look at barbecue safety in the spotlight section as well as other aspects associated with the summer.

Summertime also seems to bring all kinds of disagreements between neighbours to the fore – probably because so many are spending more time in the garden and on balconies or simply have their windows open (allowing you to enjoy next door’s questionable musical tastes). When these disagreements become more than a one off we recommend an independent charity that is based in the borough to help resolve disputes – their details can be found in the Your Community section.

Our physical and mental health benefits enormously by getting outside and enjoying the warm weather especially in the numerous local green spaces but we're highlighting a couple of pesky critters that might spoil your enjoyment and what to do about them in our Key Facts section.

We've also got the regular selection of council and other local news items that you may not have seen elsewhere and a listings of events coming up across the borough

Enjoy the good weather and be a good neighbour by allowing others to enjoy summertime as well.
