The Surrey county council elections take place on Thursday 4 May. The elections are your opportunity to have your say on which local councillor you want to represent you. Surrey County Councillors provide a link between residents in Surrey and the council. Including responding to residents’ questions or investigating concerns on their behalf, representing their views at meetings, letting them know about decisions and being aware of issues affecting the communities that they represent.

In order to vote in elections you must be registered to do so. You can register online or by post, but need to do this by Thursday 13 April, visit for more information.

Your vote matters

Don’t forget to use your vote in the county council elections on Thursday 4 May. By using your vote, you’re ensuring that you and your community are represented when it comes to decisions about vital services in Surrey.

Here are the key deadline dates to remember:
•You must register to vote by Thursday 13 April.
•If you then want to register for a postal or postal proxy vote or make any changes to existing, you need to apply to do this by 5pm Tuesday 18 April.
•To vote by proxy you need to register by 5pm Tuesday 25 April.
•Use your vote on Thursday 4 May.

Polls in Epsom & Ewell

Polling hours are 7am to 10pm on Thursday 4 May.

If you are already registered then you will receive a poll card giving information about polling hours and the address of your polling station soon after 27 March. If you registered to vote after 1 March then your poll card will be sent out around 27 April.

Postal votes will be sent out t on 20 April. If you are going on holiday before or close to that date, you may prefer to appoint a proxy

Change in polling station for West Ewell ward
Voters that previously voted at the West Ewell Evangelical Church, 23 Lansdowne Road, West Ewell will now have a new polling station at the Harrier Centre, King George V Recreation Ground, Poole Road, West Ewell KT19 9RY. Plenty of parking is available on site including disabled parking spaces that are adjacent to the centre.
