Summertime, and the livin' is easy…

As the weather becomes more pleasant, there’s a host of activities around the Borough this month for some real easy ‘livin’, including the annual Ewell Village fair - a true community event.

And if ‘One of these mornings you're gonna rise up singing’, may we recommend one of the great shows at the Epsom Playhouse for some inspiration!

However, Ella Fitzgerald was right only to a point...

As well as heralding the delicate aroma of burnt barbequed sausages wafting on the breeze, summertime can also mean the sound of next door’s questionable musical tastes being shared at full volume via their open windows. The Council recently introduced a new App to allow reporting noise nuisance easier – full info in this issue.

Summertime seems to bring all kinds of disagreements between neighbours to the fore –probably because so many are spending more time in the garden. The Council recommends an independent charity that is based in the Borough to help resolve these disputes – their details can be found in the Your Community section.

Enjoy the fleeting good weather (watch out for the jumpin' fish) and be a good neighbour by allowing others to enjoy summertime as well.
