Macrame Workshop

Saturday 17 January 2026, 1.30pm to 4.30pm
Christ Church Epsom Common Hall, Christ Church Road, Epsom, KT19 8NE
Price: £36
A 3 hour workshop designed for beginners to learn the basics of Macrame from and experienced crafter and tutor.  Spaces limited to ensure personal tuition. There is free public car park adjacent to the church. Light refreshments included. The hall is to the left of the church building.

Bourne Hall Museum Kids Club  - Life in a Palace: Secrets of a Victorian Historian - Saturday 10th January 1pm - 2.30pm

Step into the past and meet a Victorian lady who calls Hampton Court Palace home!
Discover what it’s really like to live in a chilly but exciting royal palace before it opened to the public. Uncover the secret stories of the Kings and Queens who lived there, help design posters to welcome new visitors, play Victorian parlour games and even encounter some spooky ghost stories...

Children must be accompanied at all times.

Cost £6.50 per child

Recommended for children ages 8 - 12+

Forever Fitness

A chair based exercise class held every Friday 10:30-11:15 am at Bourne Hall.

First class free!

A low intensity class with great music and choreography, designed to strengthen your muscles and joints. This class will Improve your balance and flexibility. the easy to follow but fun choreography will help improve your memory and keep your mind sharp. The exercises are designed to improve your body strength and tolerance for everyday activities. Your bones will feel stronger and your aches and pains will reduce. 

 

Handy Hands Art Club

New art class starting in January 2026

There are eight lessons on offer pack, which represents elements of art: Line, Shape, Form, Value, Colour, Space, Texture. If you want, you can choose separate lessons too.
Lessons will be at:

A single lesson is £25. The full lesson pack is £180 - (all resourses are included, for all lessons pack - 10%)

Each of you will get a starter pack: folder with pencils, rubber and sharpener. In the end you will get a certificate and art club badge.

The Jack Petchey Glee Club Challenge 2026

Sunday 11th January 2026

The JACK PETCHEY GLEE CLUB CHALLENGE is the largest youth Glee Club competition in the UK and is a music and dance education programme aimed at young performers.  It is a flagship programme of the Jack Petchey Foundation.  Open to schools, youth organisations, drama and dance groups, friends with a passion for performing, established groups or those just starting out.  

This show, at the Epsom Playhouse, is one of the four semi-finals in our competition.

The Man Who Was Magic

He has entertained audiences around the world with his easy, relaxed style and fabulous voice in a career that spans four decades and includes appearances in several Royal Variety shows and twice at The White House for the then president Bill Clinton.

An Evening with Sir Geoff Hurst: The Farewell Tour

Wednesday 28th January 2026

Across the world, Sir Geoff Hurst certainly needs no introduction. He is a sporting legend who is still the only player ever to score a hat trick in A World Cup Final.

Sir Geoff made his name with club side West Ham United, with whom he made 499 league and cup appearances, scoring 248 goals. He was Player of the Year three times and won the F.A Cup with West Ham in 1964 and the European cup winners’ cup in 1965.

Epsom & Ewell also has several beautiful open spaces which are great for cycling, including Epsom Downs, Epsom Common Local Nature Reserve, Nonsuch Park, Hogsmill Local Nature Reserve, and Horton Country Park Local Nature Reserve. You can find cycling routes for all these places on our website.

Epsom Common Association (ECA)

ECA supports the preservation and protection of Epsom Common local nature reserve and site of special scientific interest. ECA works in partnership with the Council, the Lower Mole Countryside Management Project and English Nature to contribute to the long term management and conservation of the Common.

Nature walks
ECA organises a number of walks on the Common each year which are led by local natural history experts. The subjects that are usually covered each year include birds in early spring, wildflowers, butterflies, invertebrates particularly bush crickets, bats and fungi. 

The EcoVols
If you care about the Common and enjoy its wildlife and beauty why not join the EcoVols, the volunteer group of the ECA. EcoVols carry out a variety of conservation projects on the Common throughout the year in association with English Nature, the Council and the Lower Mole Countryside Management Project.
