Welcome to the July edition of E-Borough Insight, your email newsletter from Epsom & Ewell Borough Council.
We know it's a little hard to believe but summer is here and, if you're not jetting off to a sunnier setting, there is plenty in the borough to keep you and your family occupied during the holidays.
Make memories and build community spirit with our Playing Out scheme. The scheme, which is supported by Play England, allows for streets that are not a main road or bus route to be closed to through traffic for up to 3 hours. Playing Out is organised by residents, with the agreement of their neighbours and allows children the freedom to play outside in the streets where they live.
Alternatively, if you're missing Wimbledon and want a to get a bit of the action, we have extended our free tennis sessions. Players can now book a free slot between 8am and 12pm, until Monday 26 August.
If you prefer a more leisurely activity, Bourne Hall is putting on walks across the borough throughout the summer.
It's the perfect time to explore all that this borough has to offer like Epsom Common, which has just been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award for the 18th consecutive year!
