Go!

Sitting in the traffic in South Street as Surrey County Council’s road improvements continue, the Christopher Morley quote sprung to mind – ‘April prepares her green traffic light and the world thinks… go!'

Round the Borough Bike is all go at the moment. Registration is now open and, as spring breathes fresh life into the great outdoors, what better time to get out and explore the beautiful green spaces of our borough.

The major Rosebery Park pond refurbishment received a 'go' from councillors last year and the main part of the project is now complete; just in time as the wildlife get more active (the pigeons have certainly been enjoying the grass seed)!

We're hoping that can help some borough residents spring into a new job. The annual Epsom and Ewell Employment Fair takes place shortly and we're proud to be one of the organisations behind this opportunity for prospective employers to find a capable workforce and for those seeking work to find a new career.

This week, councillors gave the green light for a couple of major initiatives, one to further tackle anti-social behaviour and another to ensure we can continue to provide the services you demand in the face of our funding cuts - details inside.

In this issue there is also the monthly listings of community led activity and events, so start to make the most of the longer days and... let’s go!
